Abstract
An ultraviolet irradiation device according to an embodiment comprises a reaction tank having an introduction port for introducing water to be treated and a discharge port for discharging the water to be treated a first ultraviolet lamp and an ultraviolet monitor provided with an ultraviolet sensor for sensing ultraviolet light applied from the first ultraviolet lamp. The first ultraviolet lamp is housed in a first protective tube and both ends of the first protective tube are secured in the reaction tank. The ultraviolet monitor is housed in a second protective tube the second protective tube is disposed parallel to the first protective tube and both ends of the second protective tube are secured in the reaction tank.
