Abstract

1455067 Brushes M PADDWICZ 25 June 1974 [5 July 1973] 28063/74 Heading A4K [Also in Division B8] A device for dispensing paint on to the bristles of a paint brush is made up of a flexible walled container 15 attached to a closure member 11 which comprises a delivery channel separated from the interior of the container by an excess pressure valve 9. The valve 9 consists of a flexible disc with a central slit-like aperture which deforms to allow paint to pass through when the container is squeezed. A cap 13, secured to the closure by a flexible strip 14 covers the end of the delivery channel when the device is not in use and serves to prevent the channel from becoming blocked by dried paint. In an alternative embodiment, a paint brush is secured to the container wall by elastic bands and the delivery channel is fashioned, so that paint is deposited directly upon the bristles whilst the brush is being used. Description

This mixing operation takes a great deal of experience obtain even Indeed it is a very di ficult task even to mix th paint so as to duplicate a Th of the on the palette or in mixing cup is as dif as applying them Felt pens overcome this disadvantag to a certain extent once present the considerable disadvantage that if left open they dr ou and quickl become It is also impossible with such a pen to change the texture of the line It has furthermore been proposed to provide a brush a fluid reservoir having one or more outlets leading the reservoir to the wherein the reservoir comprises resilient en and hand operated means for acting o the resilient end of the reservoir and effecting the discharge of the This device does not allow a dispense of fluid in a dosed way because this fluid will emerge from the outlets after the resilient end of the container has bee pushed down by the manually operated Another quantity of fluid can only be discharged from the container when previously the lever has led back to its Furthermore it is not possible to effect an accurate volume measure of emerging fluid under a given surface tension of the resilient bottom of the An object of the invention is to provide a device which dispense of especially liquid paints v in accurately measured for instance in drops of equal size so that paints can be accurately in any desired rate of It is also an object of the present invention to o in accordance with this inventio is to provide a squeeze bottle or the like which can also be as or in conjunction with a or A further object is the provision an closing or sealing for a dispenser bottle which prevents drying ou the of the bottle an at the time the contents bottle readily to be squeezed These objects are attained according to the present insufficientOCRQuality
