Claims (3)

1. What we claim is :- 1. A flexible skirt member of the. type described characterised in that an upper part of the cushion-facing surface of the outer portion of the skirt member is gathered up to form at least one tuck, the material of which is secured together so that the cushion-facing surface of the outer portion defines an angular cavity.
2. A flexible skirt member as claimed in Claim 1 wherein the tuck is folded back on and attached to the remainder of the skirt member.

A flexible skirt member as claimed in Claim 1 wherein the tuck is folded back on and attached to said outer portion of the skirt member. , A flexible skirt member as claimed in Claim 1, 2 or 3 wherein the cushion-facing surface of the outer portion defines an obtuse angle. 5. A plurality of flexible skirt members each as claimed in any one of Claims 1 to , formed by a single sheet of flexible material. 6· A gas-cushion-supported platform provided with a plurality of flexible skirt members as claimed in any one of Claims 1 to 5. 7. A gas-cushion platform as claimed in Claim 6 provided with gas-cushion supply means carried by the platform. 8. A gas-cushion platform as claimed in Claims 6 or 7 provided with inflatable support means for disposal between the platform and a load to be supported by the platform. 9. A plurality of flexible skirt members, substantially as hereinbefore described with reference to Figures 1 , 2 and 3 of the accompanying drawings. 10. A gas-cushion-supported platform substantially as hereinbefore described with reference to Figures 1, 2 and 3 of the accompanying drawings. 11. A flexible skirt member substantially as hereinbefore described with reference to Figures 5 an 6 of the accompanying drawings. 12.
