Claims (7)
1. A lamp comprising a housing and an arm extending therefrom to be secured to a post, wherein two sides of the housing lie in planes which intersect on the axis of the post when the arm is secured thereto.
2. A lamp according to Claim 1, wherein the housing is hexagonal in cross-section, and the said two sides are mutually inclined at 60°,
3. A lamp according to either preceding claim, wherein a lamp unit in the housing is rotatable through 360° about an axis perpendicular to the line of intersection of the planes.
4. A lamp according to an preceding claim, wherein the arm is a substantially U-shaped bracket of which the limbs are secured to the housing and the fixing plate serves fo attachment to a post.
5. A lamp according to Claim 4, wherei the limbs of the bracket extend obliquely from the fixing plate so that in use the housing is vertically of set from its point of attachment to a post.
6. A lamp according to an preceding claim when attached to a post, wherein the underface of the housing extends horizontally.
7. A lamp according to any one of Claims 4 to 6, wherei the housing includes a plate having an outwardly directed flange which is apertured to receive prongs on a cross-plate connecting the limbs of the bracket, nuts being welded to the inside of the housing near the bottom thereof.
