Claims (5)
1. Process for the manufacture of an Internally smooth and externally helically threaded hose of synthetic material with a support coil, characterized in tha a ribbon with a core of hard thermoplastic material, which later forms the suppor coil, and a core-envelope with lateral lips of soft thermoplastic material is fed firs over a rotating driven sheave which is provided with an annular groove for accommodating a bulge of the ribbon caused by the core, and subsequently to a rotating cylindrical winding mandrel and there wound into the hose, such that the ribbon-lips of adjoining windings overlap or abut and are heat-sealed, whereafter the hose is axlally pushed off the winding mandrel over the sheave which presses it radially against the winding mandrel, and a similar designed sheave which, however, is arranged at the other side of the winding mandrel.

Process according to Claim 1, characterized in that the ribbon is formed by two extruders of which the one feeds the core material and the other the envelope material to a shaping tool from which the ribbon is fed directly over the sheave to the winding mandrel, whereafter the adjoining ribbon-edges are heat-sealed with utilization of the sensible heat of the ribbon.

Process according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the ribbon is led over the first sheave in opposite winding sense as corresponds to the drive of the winding mandrel and subsequently brought on the winding mandrel in such a manner that the ribbo follows an S-shaped path. 42001/2 7 -
4. Process according to Claim 1, characterized in that the ribbon is fed cooled to the winding mandrel and the ribbon-edges adjoining there are heat-sealed by means of a heat-sealing device, for example with hot air.
