Description

APPARATUS FOR DEPOSITING FODDER IH A invention relates to apparatus for the which cattle and other live stock are There are types of fodder which are fed to stock mangers which constitute depressions in the ground of floor of the stable or shed is usually a cast concrete slab and is also Conventionally the fodder which is in the form of granules is manually shovelled respective in of great o stables where a great number of cows or other stock is being kept tutes a considerable amount of work which increases the cost of keep of the live It is the object of the present ention provide an arrangement which can supply necessary amounts of which can be measured according to of a particular in a speedy and continuous manner without depositing previously measured weighed quantities into each of individual feedin According to the invention the new apparatus comprises a wheeled chassis on which is mounted a container for the fodder in questionf there being provided below the said oontainer at least one measurin container which is slldable in or out of its position below the said a chute being below the outward position of the said measuring the measuring container sliding on a bottom which is while the container is devoid of a bottom so that the amount of fodder measured in the said is when the container is in its outward on the said chute to slide down means being ided for advancing and returning the said measuring and means for sealing the outlet from said container whenever the measuring container is in its outward These and further features of the invention will become clear from the panying drawings wherein the new apparatus is shown by way of In the drawings 1 a side in of the new 2 is a frontal view and is a fractional top la a of a naaely o said Measurin apparatus coaprises a 1 bottoa of which extend downwardly two hoppers Bolow 2 provided aeasuriag container which la la aeasuring tainer coaprises box atructnra and can be to and la direction in drawer like container 3 a top a extendin over approxiaately half laagth tha part la open at also at the bottoa The open botto of 3 la delimited below by a which Mounted la the chassis of new apparatus and coatalaer 3 eaa As can ba aae la coatalaer has at opposite aides two ribs c either or lower of it glides oa fixed rollers arranged in the chassis of the front of coatalae chute coatalaer 3 2 and provided with eyas 6 which eaters 7 of a linkage and 11 12 of the container 1 serves 8 and ere connected at 8 which the fixed point of the In the position of the linkage assembly in full 2 tho container 3 in its inward The swinging of 11 direction o the arrow in 2 i to position shown in broken with the train of lovers kage a position 7 is palled outwardly pu along can be soon in 4 the container 3 smaller artmen s indicated by the As can be seen cross member 13 provided hoppers of this member being the of the the container 1 which is fodder is la granular enough fodder can slide down into hopper 2 so to ensure working of The is supported pair wheels oa which be smaller 15 which the progress of apparatus are an reaaln the apparatus at rest it rests on two wheels and the wheels The new apparatus functions as fodder is into the ainer 1 and slides the two hoppers the hoppers the drops open portion of container that is to say into the three cated by the letter b i No if by moving the 11 direction of the arrow container is the top wall a of container will lie below exit froa hopper 2 and will further fodder dropping Simultaneously the contents of through open hotton en to the chute down into I order be able to an aniaal portion of fodder which fills coapartnents or bein contents o two or container 3 need be pulled out only to part of total la that only that part which in or will deposited on two order to the drawer 3 pulled out for part of extension appropriate or can provided which permit the lever 11 swing Such stops The stops which are placed in holes in wall of the container and e inwardly so to obstruct the path of lever when it is no seen in 2 supported on adjustable screws 17 so that it can adjusted in height be at a smaller or greater distance from the tom of the container 3 This prevents of or held between the edges of the of container bottom thereby obstructin the smooth out by For reaso the partitions which constitute the compartment b do reach to the upper leve of the container insufficientOCRQuality

1. WHAT IS CLAIMED ISt 1· An apparatus for depositing fodder into mangers comprising a wheeled chassis on which is mounted a container for the fodder in question, there being provided below the said container at least one measuring container which is slidable in or out of its position below the said container, a chute being arranged below the outward position of the said measuring container* the said measuring container sliding on a bottom which is stationery while the container Itself is devoid of a bottom so that the amount of fodder measured in the said container, is deposited when the container is in its outward position on the said chute to slide down therefrom, means being provided for advancing and returning the said measuring container, and means for sealin the outlet from said container Whenever the measuring container is in its outward position.
2. An apparatus as claimed in Claim 1, characterized thereby that the measuring container has a closed top extending over part of its top side, such closed top being belo the outlet from the fodder oontalner when the measurin container is in forward position* * t extending normal to the direction of travel1, Vr • of the container , stops being provided delimiting the movement of the container. 5. An apparatus as claimed in Claim 1, characterized thereby that the bottom on top o which the measuring container moves, is supported adjustably in height* 6. An apparatus as claimed in Claim k , characterized thereby that the partitions in the measuring container are lower than the walls thereof.
