Description
Emergency converter device for LED lighting fixtures Known LED lighting fixtures ( Fig.1), consisting of an LED strip and a driver that converts the alternating current received from the mains into a direct current of the required magnitude to ignite the LEDs.
Known emergency converters connected between the driver and the LED strip according to the scheme (Fig. 2). Such a converter works as follows. In the presence of voltage in the mains, it provides the usual switching on and off of the light using a light switch. At the moment of an emergency power failure in the mains in phase ''L'', the converter disconnects the LED strip from the driver and connects it to the battery inside the converter, while turning on the emergency lighting.
However, there is a large group of fixtures that differ from the fixtures shown in (Fig.1) and (Fig. 2). These are, for example, fixtures, the LED elements of which are connected directly to the AC power supply without drivers. Such elements include, for example, a LED lamp, in the closed housing of which a rectifier with an LED strip is built; or LED board with built-in rectifier.
Creating an emergency lighting device using a converter according to the scheme (Fig. 2) on such lamps is impossible, since these converters are a rather complex structure, consisting of many electronic elements and a battery, and therefore, due to their dimensions, they cannot be built between driver and LED strip into a closed housing or LED board. In connection with the above, the following solution to the problem is possible.
I offer a small reconstruction of existing converters, which consists in connecting an AC rectifier to the control circuit of the converter, as shown in (Fig. 3).
Thanks to the built-in rectifier at the converter control input, it becomes possible to connect both direct and alternating current drivers to the converter (for example, autotransformers or the mains, as shown in (Fig. 3) ), because in any case, the control current in the converter remains constant (DC), which allows the use of this emergency converter for a wider range of fixtures, both for fixtures similar to a fixture (Fig.2), and for fixtures similar to a fixture (Fig.3), which has a driver connected to the converter control input instead of a driver industrial power supply, and instead of an LED strip, an LED lamp is output.
The scheme (Fig. 3) works as follows. Power is supplied by connecting the fixed phase ''L'' and the neutral ''N'' mains to the converter. The light is turned on and off by the light switch through the not fixed phase ‘’L1'', connected to the input of the rectifier built into the converter. The rectified current from this phase freely passes through the built-in rectifier and converter to the LED lamp and lights it. In the event of a power failure in the ''L'' phase, the converter disconnects the lamp from the ''L1'' phase and ignites it from the battery, bringing it into emergency lighting mode. When the voltage returns in the ''L'' phase, the converter disconnects the lamp from the battery and, through the built-in rectifier, reconnects the lamp to the ''F1'' phase, bringing it to the normal glow mode.
The subject of the invention.
Emergency converter device for LED lighting fixtures, characterized in that, in order to expand the scope of the converter, a rectifier is built into the input for connecting the light control driver to it, which allows you to connect to this input both drivers with DC output current and drivers with AC output current (for example, autotransformers) or mains voltage, and connect not only LED strips to the output of the emergency converter , but also LED lighting fixtures with built-in rectifiers, which are normally connected to AC current sources or the mains.
