Claims (16)
1.Claims 1. A computer-implemented medical method of adjusting control commands for moving a medical imaging device (5) connected to a moving device (4), wherein the method comprises the following steps: - first image data is acquired (S1), describing a first image received by the medical imaging device (5); - intended motion data is acquired (S2), describing an intended motion of the medical imaging device (5), wherein the intended motion data is based on a control command transmitted to the moving device (4); - second image data is acquired (S3), describing a second image received by the medical imaging device (5) that has been moved as a result of the control command; - actual motion data is determined (S4) based on the first image data and the second image data, describing an actual motion of the medical imaging device (5); - correction data is determined (S5) based on the intended motion data and the actual motion data, describing a correction to be applied to the control command in order to produce the intended motion of the medical imaging device (5).
2. The method according to claim 1, wherein determining correction data involves correlating the intended motion data with the actual motion data in a common co-ordinate system which is in particular assigned to a display device (8) adapted to display images that are received by the imaging device (5).
3. The method according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the control command is effected by at least one of: - a user control command input transmitted by an input device (7); - an automatic control command generated and transmitted by a control device (6).
4. The method according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the intended motion includes an intended direction of motion and/or an intended velocity of motion of the medical imaging device (5).
5. The method according to claim 4, wherein the intended direction of motion is parallel to the plane of at least one of the first and the second image.
6. The method according to claim 4 or 5, wherein the intended velocity of motion is a function of a dimension of the display device (8), particularly of at least one of the width, the height, the size and the pixel number of the display device (8).
7. The method according to any one of claims 1 to 6, wherein determining the actual motion data involves image processing techniques for determining the motion of the medical imaging device (5) relative to at least one object (9) shown on the first image and the second image.
8. The method according to any one of claims 1 to 7, wherein the correction to be applied to the control command further compensates for the difference between a medical imaging device's (5) actual position and a medical imaging device's (5) intended position, that was caused by a deviation of the medical imaging device's (5) actual motion from the medical imaging device's (5) intended motion.
9. The method according to any one of claims 1 to 8, wherein the correction data is determined for every control command transmitted to the moving device (4).
10. The method according to any one of claims 1 to 9, further including the step of determining, based on the correction data, control data describing a corrected control command to be transmitted to the moving device (4).
11. The method according to any one of claims 1 to 10, wherein the display device (8) is controlled to not show in the sequence of images a motion of the medical imaging device (5) that deviates from the intended motion.
12. The method according to any one of claims 1 to 11, wherein determining correction data involves applying a plausibility check to determine whether the determined correction of the control command is reasonable, particularly wherein a reasonable correction of the control command does not exceed a maximum limit and/or a minimum limit.
13. The method according to any one of claims 1 to 12, further including the step of determining correction verification data, describing whether the control command has been validly corrected, particularly based on at least a third image received by the medical imaging device (5) that has been moved as a result of the corrected control command.
14. A program which, when running on a computer (2) or when loaded onto a computer (2), causes the computer (2) to perform the method steps of the method according to any one of the claims 1 to 13; and/or a program storage medium (3) on which the program is stored; and/or a computer (2) comprising at least one processor and a memory and/or the program storage medium, wherein the program is running on the computer (2) or loaded into the memory of the computer (2); and/or an electromagnetic carrier wave carrying information which represents the program; and/or a data stream which is representative of the program.
15. A medical system (1), comprising: - the at least one computer (2) according to claim 14; and - a moving device (4) for moving a medical imaging device (5) connected to the moving device (4); wherein the at least one computer (2) is operably coupled to - the moving device (4) for issuing a control signal to the moving device (4) for controlling the operation of the moving device (4) on the basis of the first and the second image data.
16. Use of the system according to claim 15 for conducting an imaging procedure, wherein the use comprises execution of the steps of the method according to any one of the claims 1 to 13. Roy S. Melzer, Adv. Patent Attorney G.E. Ehrlich (1995) Ltd. 11 Menachem Begin Road 5268104 Ramat Gan
