Claims (13)

1. A finder sight for use in combination with a main aiming sight of a firearm having a firearm barrel, together creating a dual aiming sight , the finder sight comprising: a finder sight housing configured to be mounted on the firearm barrel and juxtaposed to the main aiming sight so as to be optically aligned therewith; a finder light source housed within the finder sight housing; and a front opening in the finder sight housing configured to pass a finder-sight signal there-though, from the finder light source, wherein the finder sight: (a) is disposed adjacently in front of the main aiming sight; (b) is optically aligned with the main aiming sight ; (c) has a field of vision larger than that of the main aiming sight and is configured to provide the finder-sight signal to the shooter to indicate the alignment of the shooter’s eye with the firearm barrel, whereby the shooter can use the finder sight to align the shooter’s line of sight with the firearm barrel prior to using the main aiming sight for final target acquisition.
2. The sight according to claim 1, wherein the front opening comprises a multi-focal lens configured to provide a circle/corona.
3. The sight according to claim 1, wherein the finder sight is configured to provide the finder-sight signal in the form of a first finder-sight signal when the shooter’s line of sight is aligned with the firearm’s barrel and a different finder-sight signal when the shooter’s line of sight is not aligned with the firearm’s barrel.
4. The sight according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the finder light source comprises a light gathering fiber.
5. The sight according to claim 3, wherein the light gathering fiber is non-linear.
6. The sight according to claim 3, wherein the light gathering fiber comprises an end configured to face toward an angled mirror, the angled mirror being configured to reflect light from the end of the light gathering fiber toward the finder-sight housing front opening.
7. The sight according to claim 4, wherein the light gathering fiber is J- shaped comprising a curved fiber end portion having an end and configured to face toward an angled mirror, the mirror being configured to reflect light from the end of the light gathering fiber toward the finder-sight housing front opening.
8. The sight according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said finder sight signal provides a color change signal to indicate barrel alignment with the shooter’s eye.
9. The sight according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said finder light source comprises an electric diode or a radioactive vial.
10. The sight according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the main sight is a reflex sight.
11. The sight according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said main sight is a holographic sight.
12. The sight according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said main aiming sight is a telescopic sight.
13. A dual aiming sight for a firearm, the sight comprising: a main aiming sight; and a finder sight according to any one of the preceding claims, disposed adjacently in front of the main aiming sight. 5
