Description

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ENCOURAGING PROPER AND SAFE DRIVING Field of the Invention The present invention relates to the field of systems for encouraging proper and safe driving. More particularly, the present invention relates to a system and method for encouraging proper and safe driving by accumulation of credits in different businesses.
Background of the Invention Proper, safe and efficient driving is essential for maintaining the life and safety of road and pedestrian drivers, and is of paramount importance for maintaining order and road safety.
According to the World Health Organization, more than one million people die each year in road accidents worldwide, with between 20 and 50 million more people suffering non-fatal injuries, many of them suffering from disability as a result of their injuries. Every day, nearly 3,700 people around the world die in road accidents involving cars, buses, motorcycles, bicycles, trucks or pedestrians. More than half of those dead people are pedestrians, motorcyclists and cyclists, road traffic injuries are estimated to be the eighth leading cause of death in the world in all age groups and the leading cause of death for children and young people aged 5-29. More people are now dying in road accidents than from diseases like HIV.
Factors that affect road accidents include: driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving in a state of fatigue and lack of concentration, non-compliance with traffic laws, distracting actions from the road (using a hands-free cell phone, reading documents, looking back, etc.) and more.
Road traffic injuries impose a huge economic burden on many countries in the world. Road traffic injuries cause significant economic losses to individuals, their families and nations as a whole. These losses are due to the cost of treatment, as well as the loss of productivity of those die or disabled by their injuries, and family members who have to take time off from 40222/20- - - 2 work or school to care for the injured. Road accidents have cost most countries 3% of their gross domestic product [https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/road-traffic- injuries].
The number of vehicles nowadays is more than a billion, the vehicles sold from year to year are gaining momentum and today there is even more than one private vehicle in every home, for example we can see that in 2019, more than 80 million vehicles were sold worldwide. When a large number of vehicles enter the road traveling millions of kilometers a day, it is important to have a safety system that encourages safe and careful driving during all driving and as a result the distracting factors in driving will be reduced and as a result drivers will save their lives, relatives, road and pedestrian drivers.
At the commercial level, commercial companies now own huge amounts of workers and heavy vehicles such as buses that transport people or trucks that carry goods, when the company sends the drivers to their missions they place themselves as a top value to preserve the lives of their workers and those around them on the roads. On safe and careful driving, which can be difficult over time and especially if the driving is done in different situations such as: day, night, extreme hours, in crowded and crowded areas, in severe heat and cold conditions.
At the private level, nowadays when a large number of young people who only get their driver's license drive on the road when they have no experience at all can drive riots and endangers their lives and the lives of those around them, even when the safety system warns, young people can choose not to obey. Because they will not feel that they are benefiting from it at that moment.
In addition, even experienced drivers may disobey the warning system for the same reason of lack of interest or because they will not benefit from it at that moment, and this can 40222/20- - - 3 happen to them in situations where they are pressed for time to get to work as soon as possible or even pick up the child from kindergarten.
One of the significant problems today is that many safety systems show the driver the negative things the driver does when he drives and this is manifested in loud beeps or audible alerts, the driver begins to develop towards those antagonism systems and stop treating them and attaching importance while driving in addition to all reports Accept while driving, all those negative things can take the driver out of concentration and endanger his safety and the safety of those around him.
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a system and method for encouraging safe and careful driving that can significantly reduce the risk to drivers and pedestrians and save their lives.
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a system and method for encouraging proper and safe driving to maintain the safety of drivers, vehicle passengers and pedestrians.
It is another object of the present invention to provide a system and method for encouraging proper and safe driving for encouraging growth and profitability of businesses by giving careful drivers who drive safely and properly credits to utilize in different businesses.
It is a further object of the present invention to provide a system and method for encouraging proper and safe driving for encouraging sharing the driving experience between different drivers and enabling data collection about careful and efficient drivers to be displayed to other drivers.
Other objects and advantages of the invention will become apparent as the description proceeds. 40222/20- - - 4 Summary of the Invention A method for encouraging proper and safe driving by accumulation of credits in different businesses, comprising: a) Initial registering of a driver to a dedicated application connected to the system which remembers the driver's details; b) Connecting of a driver to the system installed in a vehicle via Bluetooth/WiFi or scanning a barcode using a barcode camera; c) Recognizing the driver and the details and loading the driver's details to the application, including the number of accumulated points of the driver until a specific moment; d) Logging in of a driver to the application installed on a the driver's cell phone by entering a username and password; e) Detecting the driver's location and the vehicle's velocity by the system in real time, using GPS and GIS systems; f) entering, by the driver or by using shared-drivers information, the system coordinates which indicate the location of the road conditions and traffic signs or retrieving the coordinates from a memory; g) Recognizing by the system positive actions of the driver through the driving which indicate on proper and safe driving and converting them to positive points, according to pre-determined score for each traffic sign or other road condition; and h) At the end of the driving, calculating the number of positive points the driver accumulated through the driving and adding them to the driver's account in the application, wherein there is no accumulation of negative points for rules and traffic signs that were not obeyed by the driver. 40222/20- - - A system for encouraging proper and safe driving by accumulation of credits in different businesses, comprising: a) A cell phone or other mobile device with dedicated application installed on it for saving a driver's details, connecting the driver to the system in a vehicle and connecting the driver to different business; b) A GPS system for detecting the driver's and vehicle's location in real time; c) A GIS system for detecting and calculating the vehicle's velocity in real time and everywhere; d) A Bluetooth connection, A WIFI connection or a barcode-scanning camera for connecting the driver mobile device to the system; e) A screen/display for displaying the driver the number of accumulating points at every given moment located on the vehicle dashboard; f) Thin LED screens on the sides of the cell phone; g) A small screen that is activated according to driver's definition: at the beginning of each driving/while driving/at the end of the driving/in off mode. h) A connection to the internet and to external control system which performs the following actions: i. Detailed Description of the Present Invention The present invention provides a system and method for encouraging proper and safe driving by accumulation of credits in different businesses.
The system is made up of the following devices: 1. A device located inside the vehicle systems - not visual. 2. A device found on the dashboard of the vehicle - visual. 3. Global Positioning System (GPS) + Geographic Information System (GIS). 4. Bluetooth connection . WiFi connection.
Fig. 1 shows an illustration of a car with the proposed system installed on it. The non-visual part of the system includes a GPS + GIS system 1 for detecting the position and speed (velocity) of the driver and the vehicle in real time, Bluetooth/WIFI connection 2 for connecting the system to a dedicated application in the driver's mobile device. The visual part of the system includes a device 3 located on the dashboard of the vehicle with a LED screen 4 for showing the number of points which were accumulated by the driver until any specific moment during driving (as well as at the total number of points at the end of driving), a barcode 5 for scanning by the driver using a mobile device for connecting the driver to the system (instead of via Bluetooth/WIFI), in which a dedicated application is installed, and a WIFI chip 6 for WIFI connection. There are two fasteners 7 in the device's 3 40222/20- - - 8 sides. When pressed, the grip using the 82 LED screens is released, meaning that the top of the 10 goes up and the bottom of the 10 goes down, so the driver can take out his cell phone and a button 8 for closing the fasteners 7 on the mobile device. There is a stand 9 attached to the device 3 which the driver can turn left and right for directing the cell phone screen to the desired direction. On the stand 9 there is an ON/OFF button e (described in Fig. 1C). If the connection is not via wires, then the other option is that the cables from the system inside the car can enter through this part and connect the device 3 to the general system. Device 3 may also include ’s a shadowing element.
Fig. 1A shows a zoom (enlarged) view of the device 3 installed on the vehicle's dashboard.
The device includes the LED screen 4, the barcode 5 which is scanned by the driver for connecting to the system, the WIFI chip 6 (by attaching the cell phone to the WIFI chip 6 the driver can connect to the system), the two fasteners 7, the button 8 for closing the fasteners 7 and the stand 9 for directing the cell phone screen to the desired direction.
There are 10 LED screens, that change their color, are built so that they slightly "protruding out" towards the driver to give the cell phone shade from the sides. When the user pots the cellphone on button 8, the upper LED screens will move downwardly and the lower LED screens will move upwardly, in order to fasten the cellphone in place.
Fig. 1B shows a zoom (enlarged) view of the back part of the device 3 installed on the vehicle's dashboard. In the back part of the device 3 there are two speakers a and b for playing the sounds of the system, a shade c to cast a shadow on the cell phone screen and a solar panel d for providing DC power, to charge the cellphone and the device.
Fig. 1C shows a zoom (enlarged) view of the device 3 installed on the vehicle's dashboard with a cellphone located on it. The fasteners 7 are closed on the cellphone (the top part of the fasteners goes down and the bottom part goes up). On the stand 9 there is an ON/OFF button e. (one click the button e will appear in green color, i.e. ON, another click on the button e will appear in red color, i.e. OFF). The default is that the device will always work in 40222/20- - - 9 terms of top screen display, changing the colors of the LED frames, and background noise.
If the driver does not want to turn these options on or they interfere to the driver, he/she can turn them off.
Fig. 2 shows an illustration of a car with the visual device 3 on the dashboard, according to another embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, there is other stand f holds the device 3 and connects it to the car's dashboard (instead of the circular stand 9 showed in Figs. 1 A-C).
Fig. 2A shows a zoom (enlarged) view of the front part of the car showed in Fig. 2 with the stand f holds the device 3 and connects it to the car's dashboard.
Fig. 2B shows a zoom (enlarged) view of the stand f holds the device 3.
The system is suitable for two-wheeled and 4-wheeled vehicles.
The System installation The following options are available for the buyer of the system: 1. The buyer is able to request to buy the vehicle from the company when the entire system is already installed in it. 2. The buyer is able to install the system in designated places.
In private vehicles: installing the system inside the vehicle will not be mandatory; the private driver will only be able to derive the same benefit with the help of the device on the dashboard and with the help of the application.
• This is in case that it is possible to derive the benefit of calculating the points, etc. only from the application, without the device inside the vehicle. 40222/20- - - In commercial vehicles such as: company vehicles, buses, taxis, etc.: the installation of the system inside the vehicle should be mandatory, so that the company owners can receive information about the driving pattern of their drivers.
• Downloading the application and installing the device on the dashboard will be mandatory for driver use.
When the driver arrives to purchase the system the installation staff members will enter the type of vehicle like: truck, private, bus, motorcycle, etc. and the vehicle license plate number, so that the system becomes unique to each vehicle in order to prevent theft and to know which points accumulation format fits that specific vehicle. For example, in case of vehicles like truck or concrete mixer, then when the drivers drive better and obey the road conditions and rules they will get more points than a driver driving a private vehicle, in order to give them motivation.
The system's parts: 1. The device located inside the vehicle (not visual): a) The system automatically detects the driver's location and the vehicle's velocity in real time using GPS and GIS. b) Within the system, coordinates which indicate the location of the road conditions (such as: traffic signs, traffic lights, intersections, etc.) is being entered. c) The system recognizes the execution of actions by the driver which required by law in all sections of the road, for example: stop traffic sign = complete stop of the vehicle, right of way = slowdown, speed limit traffic sign = speed limit on the road, etc. d) When the system detects that the driver has followed the instructions and obeyed to the law, the system converts the driver's actions to positive points, for example: stopping in stop traffic sign = 5 points, deceleration (slowing the speed) as a reaction to suitable traffic sign= 10 points, etc. 40222/20- - - 11 e) The system is linked to a control center to which the system transfers all the data accumulated for performing operations and to the Internet. f) The system is global, i.e., any driver is able to login from the application to any vehicle that has the system and accumulate points for his own benefit. g) The system identifies the driver's driving patterns, for example: specific areas in which the driver stopped to refuel, stopped to eat, etc., and publishes suitable advertisements in the application (in case the driver agrees). h) During the installation of the system in the vehicle, the type of vehicle is entered inside the system, so that the system will know what type of vehicle the driver is driving. The goal is that drivers with larger vehicles such as trucks will receive a more "lucrative" score, for example: stopping at stop traffic sign in a private vehicle = 5 points, compared to stopping at stop traffic sign in a truck = 8 points. As a result, each category of vehicles (for example, a heavy vehicle, a light vehicle, etc.) will have a unique application (a different application only in terms of scoring points), because there are traffic signs and/or roads that are dedicated only to certain vehicles.
The proposed system recognizes the traffic laws in all sections of the road (for example: stop traffic sign = complete stop, right of way = slowing down to the speed limit, driving at the speed limit on the road, etc. In these sections that are specified in the system, "positive points" that the driver is able to "earn" when he/she drives according to the road conditions instructions are calculated in advance (for example: stop at stop = 5 points, etc.). When the system understands that the driver has done the correct and permissible actions in each of the traffic laws in which the driver is located, the system converts the correct actions to "positive points" that are calculated in advance regarding each traffic law.
The total positive points which are calculated during the driving is being accumulated to the driver's credit, so that at the end of the driving the driver will receive a summary of the positive points he/she has accumulated, (there will be no accumulation of negative points). 40222/20- - - 12 The system will update its position and speed every few seconds/meters and will know if the driver is doing what he/she is allowed to do according to the road conditions. Another option is that the system will already be connected to the vehicle system itself, which knows in which velocity [km/h] the vehicle is being driven.
There is an option to install in the vehicle a physical device located on the vehicle's dashboard which shows to the driver the points he/she has accumulated in total by driving the vehicle, or in every start of a driving the number of accumulated points will be reset and the points score will be count again. When the driver activates the system, before starting driving he can see the number of points he accumulated in the last trip.
Alternatively, the system may reset the number to zero at the end of each trip. During driving, the driver will be able to see the updated number that has been accumulated.
Connecting the driver to the system: The driver is connected to the system via Bluetooth camera or a barcode-scanning camera (for scanning a unique barcode on the device) or a WiFi chip and then through an application installed on the driver's cellphone, to which the driver will log in using a username and password. After logging in, the system recognizes the driver. The system is global for each application, means that any driver is able to log in from his/her application to any vehicle in which the system is installed. The system is connected to GPS and GIS devices and sections of the road will be pre-encrypted by waypoints for enabling the system to be activated everywhere).
For connecting the driver with the system installed inside the car and in addition to the external device on the dashboard, in addition to communication with the help of Bluetooth or Wi-Fi the driver can enter the application on his/her cellphone and from the application to a camera that scans a unique Barcode, located on the device installed on the vehicle's dashboard. 40222/20- - - 13 1. Options for connecting the driver's cell phone to the system inside the car and to the external device on the dashboard: A. WI-FI, from which it is possible to connect to the system, this connection allows the driver to set a password that he/she chooses for connection in case he/she does not want other people to use the system and a stronger network reception option. The Wi-Fi chip may be on the device installed on the dashboard, so that the chip can identify the driver's cell phone as it is connected to it.
B. Bluetooth - an advantage of short-term reception, so that people who are not sitting inside the vehicle will not be able to connect to the system.
C. A unique barcode that will be on the external device - (the driver will login to the application -> login to the camera ---> scan the barcode found on the device).
• If one of the networks is permanently activated in the driver's cell phone, when the driver gets in the car and drives the car, the system can detect it and connect automatically (the driver can determine in the settings in the application which people can connect automatically, to prevent automatic connection of non-car owners). 2. Options for connecting the external device on the dashboard to the system inside the car: A. Using cables - from the device installed inside the vehicle, cables will rise into the bottom of the device on the dashboard in such a way that they will not be seen, so when someone drives the vehicle, the dashboard device will operate automatically.
B. A WI-FI connection.
C. A Bluetooth connection. 2. The application: The first use of the application:  Opening a personal account by the user (the driver) and connecting the driver's mobile device to the non-visual system inside the vehicle and to the visual device on the dashboard of the vehicle. 40222/20- - - 14  Driving: start of a driving -> end of a driving -> checking the total accumulation of points.
The second use of the application:  Searching for businesses in the application -> buying a product by converting the points to money.
A. Initial use of the application: a) Only people who have a driver's license are able to download the application from the application store and then make a registration in order to open a personal account with the following details: username, password, license number, ID number. b) The driver connects to the system installed inside the vehicle by Bluetooth/barcode-scanning camera in the visual device sitting on the dashboard and by using WiFi. Another option is an automatic entry, i.e. automatic identification of the system when it recognizes the driver's cell phone inside the vehicle. c) The driver is able to enter the "conversion page" in the application, where all the road conditions that are pre-entered in the system will appear. By that, the driver can see the road conditions before the driving (road traffic signs, traffic lights, etc.) and how much each one is worth in terms of points (the user can see how many points he/she can win in the way if drives legally and safely). Every obey of the driver to the rules will be converted into a points-score, for example: stopping at a stop traffic sign= 5 points, driving at the required speed = 10 points, etc. d) At the entrance to the application, the driver is able to enter his/her location and the destination address he/she wants to arrive and thus see the points he/she can accumulate during the driving, even before he starts the driving. e) When the driver starts his/her driving, the points will accumulate inside "My Travels" page in the application. 40222/20- - - Fig. 3 shows an illustration of a user's cell phone screen which displays the entrance page of the application. The entrance page shows the number of points 10 which were accumulated by the driver until this moment (for example, 1050 points) and the driver need to enter his/her username and password in the suitable place 11 in order to enter the application.
Fig. 4 shows an illustration of a user's cell phone screen displays a page with the traffic signs score 20 in general. Every traffic sign gets a different number of points that will be accumulated if the driver will obey to a traffic sign of this kind through the driving.
B. The end of the driving: At the end of the driving the driver is able to get a summary of his driving-trip and see how many points he/she has accumulated through the driving, for example: 100/400, 100/100, which he/she can convert for buying at the business.
There is an option for the user to go to the "Full Details" page and there to see the details of the driving-trip: For example: throughout the driving-trip there were four stop traffic signs and the result was 0/4 (means that the driver did not stop in any of the 4 stop traffic signs) or 2/4 (means that the driver stopped in two of the 4 stop traffic signs). The system only counts the two stops for the good points, there is no negative points accumulation or score reduction. By seeing the details of the trip the user can learn where it is possible to improve in the future.
Fig. 5 shows an illustration of a user's cell phone screen displays a page which showing the accumulated points summery of the driver. This page shows numbers 30 of different kinds of traffic signs that was in the driver's way through the driving and a summary of the number of points 31 the driver has accumulated through the driving 40222/20- - - 16 (corresponding to the number and kinds of traffic signs/ traffic rules the driver obeyed through the driving). If the driver wants to see detailed description of the number of points that were accumulated for each traffic sign and the number of traffic signs that were not obeyed through the driving, there is an option in the bottom of this page to enter to "full details" page 32.
C. Second use of the application - searching for businesses, converting points, buying a product/purchasing a service: a) The driver will be able to enter the application on the "Search for Business" page where he/she can search for the stores where he/she wants to utilize the points accumulated points, by: location, price range, range of points and in addition, by selecting categories of consumer products the driver chooses, such as garages, food chains, fashion chains, insurance, flights, etc. b) Businesses will choose to offer discounts on products they own by:  First option: a package deal, for example: when buying in a store over 200 NIS, the store will offer the customer a conversion of 100 points= a discount of 10 NIS.
 Second option: the businesses will publish the amount of points they want to offer for each product, for example: 100 points on jeans that cost 200 NIS, i.e., a discount of 10 NIS. 3. Converting the points (the credits) and using them in businesses: After accumulating the points, the driver/the user is able to use them in stores such as: garages, food chains, clothing, receiving benefits in insurance, discounts on flights, etc.
Businesses will choose to offer discounts on products they own as following: - Fist option: publishing the points the businesses want to offer for each product.
- Second option: offering a discount of 100 NIS for example, if the driver has 500 points, for example. 40222/20- - - 17 Fig. 6 shows an illustration of a user's cell phone screen displays the "Search for Business" page in which the driver (the user) can search in the suitable place 40 for the stores/companies where he/she wants to utilize the accumulated points. In addition, this page shows different offers from different stores/businesses for products or services the user can purchase with the accumulated points. For each product or service, the required number of points 41 is displayed in this page near the name of the company 42 who offers the service and near the name of the service 43.
An Example of purchasing a product - a customer in front of the business: A store offers a shirt that costs 150 NIS. The store offers a buyer who has accumulated 50 points a discount of 5 NIS. The buyer will convert the 50 points to use in the store, in addition to a regular payment of 145 NIS.
When the customer buys a product, there are two options: A. Physical purchase- payment of points in the application within the business (arriving physically to the store/company): when the buyer arrives at the checkout, he/she identifies himself/herself to the seller by ID number or by cell phone number. The following details then will be displayed to the seller on the computer (as shown in Fig. 8): 1. Buyer details: full name _____ + photo (if any). 2. The amount of points the customer chooses to use: ______ Additional payment option: cash/credit: ______ After the purchase, the customer receives the transaction details to the application on "My Receipts" page. In the application there is "My privacy setting" page where the buyer can define that when he/she buys a product they will receive an identification message (company name + amount of points requested for utilization + cash/credit amount) which the buyer will have to approve in the store at the moment of the purchase, in order to prevent misuse of points the user does not have or use the points of a person by other person. 40222/20- - - 18 B. Online purchase- payment on the store website through the application: The payment of money: in any way the business chooses to sell (only points/money and points/ only money).
It is not possible to convert points to benefits/credits/money in a business if no purchase has been made, for preventing giving points to stores/ businesses without buying anything from these stores.
Fig. 7 shows an illustration of a user's cell phone screen displays the "Payment" page in which the driver (the user) can pay with cash 50 or with points 51 for chosen products/services in different businesses. Some businesses convert points to discounts and then the user can pay with cash after the discount, and other businesses enable to pay directly with points instead of money.
Features in the application:  In the "Search Settings" page in the application, the driver is able to search for networks in which he/she wants to buy, by: distance, quantity discount, location, etc.
 Each user is able to open a group and add more users and to do monthly/weekly "contest". For those who have won the most points, the winner will be able to receive a prize/more points.
 There is an option of an urban/national winner: whoever reaches the top of the table will win a prize (the prize can be announced in advance for an incentive).
 By combining with navigation applications there is an option to register the address of the destination in the beginning of the driving and see by advance how many points can be accumulated on the way. 40222/20- - - 19  There is an option to combine a type of levels, i.e., starting from level 1 and ascending in stages. The more levels, the more benefits the driver receives. For example: stores will offer drivers of level 40 and above to receive a discount of 20 NIS and drivers who are below level 40 will receive a discount of 10 NIS.
 There is an option to configure only one user that will automatically connect to the system and if someone else drives in the vehicle with the system installed on it, then it will not log in to the application.
 There is an option to integrate conventional navigation applications in the system.
 It is also possible to view all the information of the system in vehicles that have a screen built into the vehicle.
 The application has the option to chat between the driver and his friends and between driver and program support.
 The application has the option to view the personal profiles of other drivers, where the profile may contain the following details: full name, number of points of the same driver, hobbies, etc. Each driver is able to choose if he/she wants to share personal details.
 There is an option to activate a child forgetting mechanism in the car, which alerts when stopping the car/turning off the engine.
 There is an option that from the application it will be possible to enter the camera and scan the barcode found on the device on the dashboard.
 The driver is able to change the volume of the sounds, the intensity of the lighting, or completely turn off the features that the device on the dashboard gives, in order to avoid distractions while driving.
 The owner of the vehicle on which the vehicle is registered is able to choose the following option: it will be impossible to log in and connect to the system for anyone other than setting the connection to the system through WI-FI only because the login to WI-FI must be logged in with a password. This solution can prevent connection of people that the driver does not want to log in (e.g. taxi driver, bus driver, shuttle driver, etc.). 40222/20- - -  A particular business can choose to advertise its business at specific times it chooses, for example: when there is traffic congestion (traffic jams), in the morning, noon or evening.
The benefits of businesses: a) Every business is able to advertise the business by opening a business page and advertising its products, discounts it offers, etc. For example: a tire shop offers treatment for 100 NIS, the treatment will be offered to the user with discount of 10 points. The business' profit in this case will be: 90 NIS + advertising space + return of customers + additional purchase in addition to what the consumer intended to buy. b) Businesses will use advertising and discounts to attract consumers and thus will increase their customer base, as well as businesses will rely on customers who come to buy more products besides the product with the discount (when customers arrive, it will be possible for businesses to make them buy more products). c) An important advantage of the cooperating with businesses is that the businesses will receive extensive exposure, and this is when everyone who has the application will be able to see them, even if they do not know this specific store/company. d) Drivers will download the application not because the application advertises a specific product, but because they just have a license and are "anyway" driving, so they should have no problem downloading the application and occasionally looking at how many points they have accumulated. e) When a customer is looking for a product, the display order of the stores' ranking will be according to one of these options: 1) a business that has made the most purchases with the help of the points, (regardless of the amount of points converted in the total transactions), will appear first in the search and so on. 2) the number of transactions/the number of points will not be displayed next to each 40222/20- - - 21 store, which means that the customer will not see them (this will performed automatically in the system). f) The stores will be branded as stores that contribute to road safety. g) There is an option that stores that work with the application and reached a certain amount of points will receive tax rebates.
Fig. 8 shows an illustration of a computer screen in which the businesses owners can see the customer's following details: name 60, family name 61, the number of points 62 the customer has for use (to utilize in products/services purchases), and the customer additional payment options 63.
Restrictions: a) The system will only be active when traveling above a certain velocity [km/h] or above a certain driving time, for example: driving a vehicle at 1 km/h will not accrue points. b) The conversion ratio of the points to money will be such that it pays the driver to accumulate them, i.e., not only when the driver accumulates a huge number of points (for example 10,000 points) he/she will receive 1 NIS, much less points will be converted to 1 NIS. This in order to prevent the driver from losing his motivation. c) The system works only when the car is driven. d) Only one cellphone can be connected to the system while driving (once the system detects a first login, then it will not be able to connect other people, unless the person connected to it logs out and then someone else can log in. e) In case of a stolen vehicle, the driver will be able to contact the operating company and ask them to disconnect the system, or a driver will be able to turn it off through the application. In this case it will also not be possible to install 40222/20- - - 22 the stolen system in another vehicle because each system is compatible with one specific vehicle. f) The system will not count "negative points" for traffic signs or traffic rules that were not obeyed by the driver. For example: in case of a driver who had 8 traffic signs on the way, the system will not record that the driver did not stop at 4 traffic signs from the 8 traffic signs; the system will simply show to the driver that he/she has stopped at 4 traffic signs and accumulated 20 points.
The driver is able to see on the page 'Full Details' in the application the fact that he/she stopped at two signs out of four so that he/she could get better next time, the driver would also understand that he/she could have accumulated more points that could have been converted into money. g) The businesses will not receive points if no purchase has been made. h) There are options for limiting the accumulation of points:  Option to limit the number of points the driver can accumulate each month.
 After each month, the total points will be calculated as follows - for example: if the total points that each driver can get in a month is 1000 points and the maximum points the driver could get in that month by his/her trip was 700 points and the driver actually accumulated 600 points, the following month the driver can get total accumulation of points of 1200, and this is because the driver proved himself/herself.
 A driver is able to buy with a Premium method more capacity for accumulating points/additional items in order to expand the amount of points he/she can accumulate in a month.
 Drivers with high seniority will be able to earn more points.

40222/20- - - 5 A system for encouraging proper and safe driving by accumulation of credits in different businesses, comprising: a) A cell phone or other mobile device with dedicated application installed on it for saving a driver's details, connecting the driver to the system in a vehicle and connecting the driver to different business; b) A GPS system for detecting the driver's and vehicle's location in real time; c) A GIS system for detecting and calculating the vehicle's velocity in real time and everywhere; d) A Bluetooth connection, A WIFI connection or a barcode-scanning camera for connecting the driver mobile device to the system; e) A screen/display for displaying the driver the number of accumulating points at every given moment located on the vehicle dashboard; f) Thin LED screens on the sides of the cell phone; g) A small screen that is activated according to driver's definition: at the beginning of each driving/while driving/at the end of the driving/in off mode. h) A connection to the internet and to external control system which performs the following actions: i. 4. Bluetooth connection 5. 40222/20- - - 10 In commercial vehicles such as: company vehicles, buses, taxis, etc.: the installation of the system inside the vehicle should be mandatory, so that the company owners can receive information about the driving pattern of their drivers. 40222/20- - - 13
40222/20- - - 15 Fig.
40222/20- - - 20  A particular business can choose to advertise its business at specific times it chooses, for example: when there is traffic congestion (traffic jams), in the morning, noon or evening. Options for testing collaborations with external bodies/authorities: There is an option to collaborate with- 40222/20- - - 23  Department of Transportation.  Associations that support safe driving.  Navigation applications or conventional location-based applications. A. Marketing and selling the system Renting/selling of the system to:  Leasing companies.  Private companies.  Private vehicles. B. Advertisements: A certain business can choose to advertise itself at certain hours, for example: traffic loads (traffic jams) in 6:00-8:00 in the morning (am) or 16:00-18:00 in the evening (pm) and pay a larger amount for them (in general, there is an option to expand more on the commission percentage from advertisements in the application, because of the number of users in the application). The proposed system has the following advantages: - The proposed system accrues points on a daily basis while conventional companies offering the service let the consumers (the users) accrue points per purchase. - The proposed system allows the use of points in a wide variety of businesses, compared to conventional companies that allow the use of points only in the same network in which the consumer purchased. The following options are available in the proposed system: 40222/20- - - 24 a) The application comprises an interface for connecting to tha camera and scan the unique barcode on the device. This will provide the driver an alternative connection in case there will be no connection via a Bluetooth or WiFi. b) There is a visible device on the dashboard and there is a hidden system inside the vehicle. c) There is an option to display the score using the LED screen on the dashboard. d) The system can be connected to a camera that detects traffic signs, such that the system will be able to convert the score according to the driving characteristics of the driver. In addition, drivers will be able to input the location along with the traffic sign number into the application. This way, the application will store the location coordinates. Drivers doing so will gain a higher score. e) The system can also be installed on bicycles and motorcycles. f) The application can have premium options, i.e., a purchase of increasing the total number of points that can be accumulated in a month, a purchase of more road sections, etc. g) The system is accessible everywhere, and it is also possible to give more points for safe driving in places that are defined as dangerous or have the potential to be dangerous. h) It is necessary to connect to the system a server system/control system that will control the following: - Conversion the score for the driver during the trip - Data regarding when the driver purchased goods in stores for converting money - Technical support
4. The device located on the dashboard (external): The purpose of the external device is to give the driver a safe driving experience. The goals of the device are: a) To encourage the driver and increase his motivation to drive safely. 40222/20- - - 25 b) To provide an apparatus for holding the cellphone in a stable position. c) To provide a pleasant experience to the driver. d) The device is held on the dashboard of the car. e) The device turns on and starts working when ignition of the engine and stops working upon turning the engine off. f) and the device connects automatically to the driver’s cellphone via Bluetooth or using WiFi by scanning a barcode with the application. g) The device is connected to the invisible system in the vehicle and is synchronized to it. The connection may be wired or wireless. h) The device is flexible for modes: lateral, longitudinal, (if the user does not want to use it or at the end of the driving, then the user can fold the screen towards the dashboard). i) The driver is able to charge the cell phone when the cell phone is physically connected to the device. Alternatively, the cellphone may be charge wirelessly. j) The device is sun resistant. The external device's parts:  Thin LED screens on the sides of the cell phone, for grasping the cellphone.  Fasteners for holding the cell phone and when pressed, the lower LED display screens move upwardly and the higher LED display screens move downwardly, in order to release the cellphone.  A small screen that is being activated during driving. The screen displays the amount of accumulated points, as well as encouraging images or words. The screen will be activated according to the driver’s selection via the application at any driving stage. 40222/20- - - 26  The backside of the device will include loudspeakers for listening to music and incoming calls in higher volume than of the cellphone. In addition, the loudspeakers may be adapted to play a pleasant melody, in response to safe driving or to gaining points.  The device may also include an on/off button, a solar panel for recharging and a roof for shading.  The device will allow the driver to change its orientation to any desired orientation, according to the driver’s preferences.  The device will be adapted to be attached to the dashboard using magnetic means, adhesive materials, screws or to the front window using a sticker or a vacuum sticker.  The device will be removable, in order to prevent theft during long parking periods.  The device will be foldable when the cell phone will not be installed.  The device includes a curved roof, so that the cell phone is hidden from the sun to prevent overheating . The material from which the device will be made will be resistant to warming.  On the back of the roof there will be layers of solar panels that can accumulate electricity from the sun to the car's battery, so they can operate the device on the dashboard and also when the driver wants to charge the cell phone, in order to save electricity.  The center of the front of the device will also have a magnet so that users of cell phones with a magnet cover can place the cell phone to be grasped.  Fig. 9 shows a flowchart of the proposed system parts and components. The user's cell phone 70 with the application installed on it is connected to the internal system in the vehicle 71 via Bluetooth or by scanning barcode with a camera. The internal system is connected to the external device 72 installed on the vehicle's dashboard (includes the display screen with the accumulated points) and to cellular internet 73 via Bluetooth, WiFi chip or by scanning a barcode with the camera. The cellphone 70 with the application installed on it is also connected to different businesses 74, which connected through the internet to control system 75. The internal system in the vehicle 71 also connected to the same control system 75 which keeps all the data 40222/20- - - 27 (users' personal accounts + users' purchase histories), performs the required information security actions, confirms the operations of the system installed inside the vehicle in terms of the driver's driving actions and obeying to traffic rules and converts the points accordingly, alerts in case of breakups to the system and gives an answer/a solution when there are faults. The Screen at the top of the user's mobile device has the following features:  Displaying the number of points - for example, the driver has been traveling for an hour in which he/she has accumulated 100 points, so they can appear on the screen for a few seconds to remind the driver that a safe and proper driving is important.  Types of emoji - smileys, likes, etc.  Good words will be able to show on the screen in order to spur the driver to drive proper and safely.  An option when the driver enters the vehicle and the system turns on, the device will remind the driver to log on to the application.  Through the application the user can change the features that the device displays, such as: lighting intensity, emoji types, etc.  Through the application it is also possible to completely turn off the device on the dashboard to avoid distractions, but the device can still use as a cell phone holder while driving. The driver will be able to determine the changing frequency of colors, sounds, display etc. LED screens:  Appearance of alternating colors that will appear depending on driving. For example, green for safe driving and red for less safe driving. 40222/20- - - 28
5. The Internet: The system inside the car will be connected to a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth network.
6. Control system (an external system that is not located near the car): The control system performs the following actions: a) Keeps all the data, (personal accounts + purchase histories), which is being transferred to it. b) Performs the required information security actions. c) Confirms the operations of the system installed inside the vehicle in terms of the driver's driving actions and makes conversion of the points accordingly. d) Alerts in case of breakups to the system. e) Gives an answer/a solution when there are faults. Fig. 10 shows an illustration with examples of two options of the visual device installation on the vehicle's dashboard. In the first option , there is a screen 3 with display of the number of accumulated points, and in the second option there is a stand 80 for the user's cell phone with fasteners 81 for holding the cell phone, thin LED screens 82 on the sides of the cell phone and a small screen 83 that is activated according to the driver's definition in the application: at the beginning of each driving/while driving/at the end of the driving/in off mode. Fig. 11 A-C shows a zoom (enlarged) view of the cell phone stand 80 holding a cell phone with the thin LED screens 82 on the sides of the cell phone, in three situations of driving. In Fig. 11A the screen is turned off 83, i.e. the vehicle is on movement (driving), in Fig. 11 B the screen 83 shows a happy smiley, i.e. the driver derived proper and safely and obeyed to traffic signs and in Fig. 11C the screen 83 shows a sad smiley, i.e. the driver did not derived proper and safely and did not obeyed to traffic signs. 40222/20- - - 29 A significant advantage of the present invention is to indicate to the driver when he/she obeys the safety rules throughout driving, for example: driving at the speed limit, passing a green light, stopping at a stop sign, etc. both by displaying positive smileys, displaying the accumulated positive points, positive voice alerts and more. All of these benefit the driver, encourage him to continue driving well, show the driver the positive side of his driving and thus increase the driver's motivation during the ride and make him drive better and more carefully, in addition as a result the driver's attitude towards safe and careful driving systems will change and become more positive. Another advantage is the interface between a proper driving incentive system and a unique app that every licensee can download from the app store, which will be expanded later in the patent. Another advantage is the cooperative aspect between the drivers, which means that drivers will be able to follow each other's driving, a driver who scores the most positive points will receive various discounts at the businesses. Another advantage of inventing is in the business field, one of the problems today is that many businesses pay a lot of money every day and month for advertising and marketing the business are: in social networks, web management and various information search titles to advertise their products, this causes many businesses whether small or small. If big ones who strive throughout the month and year to increase their profits are forced to spend a very large portion of their income on fixed and variable expenses such as advertising and marketing expenses in order to increase their customers and reach different market segments, the solution to this problem is businesses' ability to advertise themselves, discounts and products Their unique page in the app that the driver will download and thus be exposed to a new customer audience, the "driver audience" is growing day by day, the main advantage is that the "driver audience" contains all types of market segments. When the "driver crowd" realizes the points in the businesses, the 40222/20- - - 30 businesses will be able to attach them to a club member, sell them more products and in addition the cooperating businesses will be branded as businesses that encourage safe driving on the roads. In addition, the harsh reality of the day when there are many people who are not working, adults living on an annuity, employees receiving low wages will cause their goal of driving cautiously to allow for additional "monetary income", in addition to parents not having the financial ability to finance current expenses. Pocket "will encourage their children to drive carefully to accumulate as many positive points as they can take advantage of as discounts at various businesses such as: fashion chains, food chains, insurance companies, garages and licensing institutes, airlines, gaming chains, gas station chains, credit in traffic reports, Credit for bad points gained in traffic and more ... As a result the driving of those drivers on the roads will be more careful and safer, the more important meaning is that those young people will develop self-discipline already in the initial stage of their driving when inexperienced, resulting in more disciplined drivers. The cooperation between the private consumer and the businesses will significantly increase the general income in the country and in addition the educational awareness in the company will increase the safe driving. In conclusion, all the goals and benefits will be reflected in the fact that when drivers hit the road they will have a goal, a positive goal and it is worthwhile to drive safely and obey the rules of transport to accumulate as many points as possible in stores, as a result wild driving will be reduced of drivers. The above examples and description have of course been provided only for the purpose of illustration, and are not intended to limit the invention in any way. As will be appreciated by the skilled person, the invention can be carried out in a great variety of ways, employing more than one technique from those described above, all without exceeding the scope of 40222/20- - - 31 the invention. There may also be changes in the features, restrictions, connections, device's shapes, connections, etc.
