Claims (7)

Claims
1. A modular protective structure, substantially assembled of foldable U-shaped units, comprising: a. three or more basic U-shaped units, each of which is comprised of a rear wall and foldable sidewalls; and b. reinforcement supports connecting between the various elements of said three or more basic U-shaped units in a way that prevents undesired folding of said sidewalls and/or collapsing of said rear wall , wherein said three or more basic U-shaped units are configured to face each other in a semi-overlapping arrangement, thus creating a linear labyrinth shaped structure permanently open at its distal edges, and being supported by said reinforcement supports, such as to form a protective monolithic structure which reacts as a rigid body to exerted side loads by incoming blast shocks and shrapnel impact from any direction, and wherein said structure consumes small volume in its unassembled folded state, thus allowing a rapid deployment and an efficient storage / transportation of multiple units of said structure.
2. The structure of claim 1, in which hinges of wide angular folding range and suitably adapted reinforcement supports are utilized to deploy non-linear labyrinth shaped protective structures, such as polygonal shaped structures.
3. The structure of claim 1, in which each wall comprises at least one lifting point.
4. The structure of claim 1, in which the supporting elements are comprised of T brackets, longitudinal stabilizer and a vertical clamping channel, wherein said T brackets supports the foldable sidewalls to the rear wall of the corresponding opposite basic unit, said clamping channel clamp each two sidewalls of adjacent basic units and said longitudinal stabilizer supports all sidewalls together, thus creating an interwoven reinforcement of the integrated structure.38525/IL/19 IL265286/3 - 8 -
5. The structure of claim 1, in which each wall and is provided with a ground support assembly comprising a flat plate and two L shaped supports positioned in opposite sides of said wall and attached together.
6. The structure of claim 1, in which additional flat plates are utilized to provide a uniform surface.
7. The structure of claim 1, in which further basic units are added thus extending the provided safe area.
