Abstract

The invention relates to a submunition element comprising a fragmentation envelope (1), a hollow charge (9,10) and an igniter (6) for a canister projectile or the like, in addition to relating to a submunition element (1) for one such element. The fragmentation envelope has a face end rim and a shoulder located at a distance A acting as a support surface for the face end rim of another submunition element. Distance A represents an integral fraction of 334.2 mm. According to the invention, distance A differs from the present norm and is selected in such a way that the fraction amounts to 8.
