Abstract

A plastic hook (1) and a plaque area (2) locking into a cutout slot provided in a box or header card by means of outward pressure from arms (4) and (5) and recesses (7) and (8) and being able to fold back onto box or header card for packing or wrapping through hinge (3).<Figs.3&4>

As shown in figure 1 the invention consists of a hook, (1) which can change to suit different types of rails and plaque area, (2) which can also change to suit different size lables.

Below the plaque area there is a hinge effect(3) which allows the hook (1) and the plaque (2) area to be folded back for packing as demonstrated in figure 2.

Below the hinge(3) there is a main arm support bar(11) on which the lever arms (4 & 5) are attached which meet at area (6). As the hook is inserted into the cut out slot in the box the arms (4 & 5) are pushed in towards main support bar (11). When the hook is pushed down to the stops (9 & 10) the recesses (7 & 8) together with the outward pressure of the arms (4 & 5 hold the hook in place as demonstrated in figure 3. iJNL. *>· £970762 Plastic Hook This invention relates to a plastic hook made from plastics materials.

Plastic hooks are used to display clothing or other related items that have been attached to a header card or packed in a box. The plastic hook is attached to the top of the header card or box, this enables it to be hung on a rail and enhances its display.

Existing plastic hooks can have several disadvantages as they can easily pull out from the header card or box in which they have been attached. The plastic hook protrudes out over the end of the header card or box and makes them difficult to pack both in bulk from the manufacturer to the retailer and individually from the retailer to the customer after the article has been purchased.

An object of this invention is that once the plastic hook is inserted into the header card or box it locks into place and is very difficult to remove combined with this the hook has been hinged below the plaque area allowing it to be folded down for case of packaging and wrapping.

Claims (3)

1. A plastic hook comprising of (1) hanging means for hanging a garment or other related product displayed in a box or header card. (2) A folding hinge so as the hook and plaque area can be folded back onto the box or header card for ease of packing and wrapping.

2. A plastic hook as claimed in (1) that once inserted due to locking spring system is difficult to remove.

3. A plastic hook as claimed in (2) that once inserted into a box or header card, can be folded back through the hinge mechanism for ease of packing or wrapping.
