Abstract

A lampshade (1) defining a central axis (2) comprises an upper frame element (4) and a lower frame element (5) with a cover (7) extending between the upper and lower frame elements (4,5). A bulb holder engaging ring (8) is coupled to the upper frame element (4) by three pairs (10) of coupling members. Each pair (10) of coupling members comprises a first coupling member (11) extending from the upper frame element (4) and a second coupling member (12) extending from the bulb holder engaging ring (8). A bore (25) extending through a flattened portion (24)of each first and second coupling member (11,12) slideably engages the corresponding other one of the first and second coupling members (11,12) for facilitating adjustment of the axial position of the bulb holder engaging ring (8), so that the lampshade (1) can be secured to a table lamp or the like at a desired level relative to a bulb holder thereof. Retaining screws (27) secure the first and second coupling members (11,12) of each pair (10) of coupling members in a desired relative position to each other. <Figure 1>
