Abstract

A combined gutter and facia unit 1, Fig. 1, is formed from a thermosetting plastics material which is reinforced by glass fibre matting 47,48 in a mould, Fig. 5, comprising a fixed upper mould 25 and a movable lower mould 26. The lower mould 26 is provided with rollers (27) which engage tracks (28) when a formed unit 1 is to be removed from the mould Fig. 8 (not shown) in order to have lower mould 26 laterally from under upper mould 25. Then, a part 41 of lower mould 26 is pivoted about a pivot 45 to permit removal of the moulded unit 1. The unit 1 comprises a fascia base portion 2, a gutter base portion 10 and side wall 11. Also disclosed is a union clip, Figs. 11-14 (not shown), for use in joining adjacent ends of units 1, and a stop end unit, Figs 15-17 (not shown), for a unit 1. <IMAGE> [GB2226521A]
