Abstract

A locking assembly for a door or window having a casing; and a locking mechanism located within the casing. the locking mechanism has a cam follower engageable with a cylinder lock and moveable between first and second positions. The cam follower has at least one channel formed therein, and the casing has a motion limiter configured to engage the at least one channel and limit motion of the cam follower. The locking assembly is more resistant to attacks which seek to actuate the locking mechanism by breaking through the skin of the door or window.
