Abstract
A RH-contg. homogeneous hydrogenation catalytic system is p prepd. by reacting rhodium trinitrate, hydrazine and tert. phosphine in a solvent under the inert condition. Tert. phosphine is opt. triphenylphosphine hydrazine is opt. hydrazine or its hydrate, and the solvent is opt. C1-4 aliphatic alcohol. The catalyst is use in the stereoselective hyrogenation of methacycline for oxycycline preparation.
