Abstract
Electrical connector comprising a housing (1) having receptacle contacts (3) therein. Each contact has a mounting portion (11) by means of which it is held immovably in the housing. Each contact also has a receptacle portion (3) which is connected to the mounting portion by a single flexible arm (18) so that the receptacle portion can move to a limited extent when a pin is inserted. The receptacle portion can therefore reposition itself upon mating.
