Abstract
1494665 Transmitter and receiver housings SIEMENS AG 2 May 1975 [9 May 1974] 18363/75 Heading H3Q [Also in Division H1] A housing for communication device has two L- shaped housing parts 1 and 2 hinged together at 16, one part 1 is arranged to receive parts of a transmitter and the other part is arranged to receive parts of a receiver and each housing part is arranged to receive a plug in RF filter 3 for the radio frequency end of the receiver and transmitter. Each housing part 1,2 is divided by a wall 5 and has chambers for receiving printed circuit boards (44, Fig. 2, not shown) which chambers are closed by a common screw on screening cover 43. The RF filters 3 have tuning elements 13. By loosening screws 19a and 21 one housing part 1 or 2 can be hinged away from the other. Additional components for current supply and monitoring are housed at 15. A cooling rib body (11, Fig. 3, not shown) is arranged to have thermal contact only with the front wall 10 of the transmitting amplifier. The device is suspended on a wall mounting (36, Fig. 4, not shown) by means of tracks (37). The transmitter-receiver device can be mounted on a component (39, Fig. 5, not shown) instead of 30 where the device is to be installed in a water-tight container (Fig. 6, not shown).
