1424843 Compositions containing prostaglandins ONO PHARMACEUTICAL CO Ltd 4 Dec 1973 [5 Dec 1972 18 April 1973] 56041/ 73 Heading A5B Aerosols suitable for inhalation by human subjects comprise a prostaglandin selected from prostoglandins and analogues and derivatives thereof, as defined, cyclodextrin clathrates of such compounds and non-toxic salts of prostaglandins and analogues thereof, and a pharmaceutically-acceptable liquid medium suitable for oral administration, in association with a carbohydrate selected from sucrose, fructose, maltose, glucose, xylose, mannose, xylitol and mannitol and optionally cinnaman oil or peppermint oil. Liquid compositions comprise a prostaglandin, a medium and a carbohydrate as defined above except that cinnamon oil or peppermint oil are necessarily present when sucrose is the carbohydrate.
