Abstract

1422591 Diapers PROCTER & GAMBLE CO 31 Jan 1973 [31 Jan 1972 7 Dec 1972] 4842/73 Heading A5R A disposable diaper 11e comprises an absorbent pad 15e and a superposed liquid-pervious faeces-receiving top sheet 17e secured along its periphery to the pad 15e, in which there is a line of weakness 18e in the top sheet 17e defining a central area for separate disposal with the faeces. The line of weakness 18e may be defined by perforations. Holes, about 1 to 2 inches in diameter are defined by cuts 19e and used for gripping the top sheet 17e for tearing it away from the diaper 11e. In an alternative embodiment, finger-grips are defined by cuts along opposite corners of a substantially rectangular central area about 11 x 9 to 13 inches in dimensions. The line of weakness may, in another embodiment, be defined by grain lines transverse to the length of the top sheet and cuts in the longitudinal direction. [GB1422591A]
