Heading A5E. Herbicidal compositions comprise as active ingredients compounds of formulae: wherein R is C 1-5 alkyl; R' is H or C 1-5 alkyl, haloalkyl or alkenyl; R" is C 1-5 alkyl, haloalkyl, alkenyl or haloalkenyl; A is halogen; B is C 1-3 alkyl or haloalkyl; and m and n are 0 to 4 provided that if m or n or m + n = 2 then the substituents are not in the 2, 4 positions. Typical compounds used are 2-(2, 5-dichlorophenoxy) propionic acid N, N-dimethylamide, 3-methyl-2, 4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid N, N-dimethylamide, 3-methyl-4, 6-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid N, N-dimethylamide, #- naphthoxy acetic acid N, N-dimethylamide and 2-(2, 5-dimethylphenoxypropionic acid N, N- dimethylamide.
