Abstract

The method is for construction of concrete pipes, particularly curved and with complicated surfaces, using shuttering followed by concreting. Shuttering segments are formed on carpenter-produced templates, a protective coating (5) for the shuttering being applied to the smooth template surface to form the pipe inside surface. This is followed by a supporting layer (8) of cellular concrete, in which lengthwise and end collars are formed for the joint screws, together with reinforcing ribs (12) as desired. - The layers are firmly bonded together, and after hardening the collars are screwed together and the segments are removed from the templates and fixed to the concrete underlay. The shuttering holes are then covered over and rams inserted if necessary from the inside. After concreting the holes are freed again and the rams removed.
