Abstract
2-(2,6-Dichloro-phenyl -imino)-imid-azolidine of formula (I), an anti-hypertensive agent is prepd. from an iso-cyanuric-acid deriv. of formula (II), where X is halogen atom and from ethylene-di:amine in a heterogeneous phase transfer system of a water-immiscible solvent and aq. soln. - of an alkali-hydroxide, with a small excess of ethylene-di:amine acting as phase transfer agent.
