Abstract

Granules and especially tablets of 30-70 wt.% fibre content are prepd. from bran, pref. rye-bran and opt. pectin and/or plant lignin, suspended at 70-110 deg.C pref. 80 deg.C in 2-5 times wt. of water. Based on the wt. of suspended solids 20-80% sorbitol is added in solid or aq. soln. form. 0-5% additives are also added, flavouring in particular. The suspension is dried on baking rollers at 120-180 deg.C. - The solid dry coating is removed, granulated and in this case tabletted. (Previously notified in week 8804)
