Abstract

Upto 30% w/w red mud from the alumina production mixed with the lime grist of 0.005 - 10 mm is used as fertilizer. Upto 25 t /hectare fertilizer is worked into the soil 5 -75 cm deep. A 10-20% mixture of fertilizer/peat can be also used.
