Abstract

The sports field locates entirely with a substructure of earth or gravel on a bath-shaped support frame (22) of concrete or steel parts for horizontal displacement on slide cushions supported on fixed slide tracks (23). The field comprises grass (20), granulates or other natural or artificial materials and the slide tracks extend from a completely or partly covered stadium or a multi-purpose hall to an adjoining location, e.g. a parking site (24). The support frame is displaceable under a spectator stand in the stadium or a multi-purpose hall. The slide cushions on the surfaces locating on the slide tracks consist of polytetrafluoroethylene and the slide tracks (23) are of coated steel or austenitic steel. The slide cushions have lubricating domes and oil or grease distribution grooves. Devices are provided for the application of a thin grease or oil film, which is preferably water-soluble, on the slide tracks.
