Abstract
Composition (I) comprising \- 50 wt.% of an inclusion compound formed from diclofenac and ~c-cyclodextrin in a molar ratio of 1:2 is new. PREFERRED COMPOSITIONS - (I) may contain 50 wt.% by of the 1:2 drug/cyclodextrin complex with the remainder being a 1:1 complex. Additionally (I) may contain \- 80 (preferably 95)% of the 1:2 complex. Diclofenac is preferably present as the Na salt. Formulations are preferably dry solids provided as granulates, tablets or effervescent tablets.
