Abstract

The device comprises a control module (1) that contains a microprocessor, with EPROM, PROM or similar memory, and a control keyboard (2). The microprocessor continuously monitors via one or more photoelectric cells (3) the internal luminosity of the environment illuminated by a plurality of fluorescent lamps (4). The microprocessor receives signals from an external temperature sensor (5) and from an external photoelectric cell (6). The power supply (7) is monitored via a network voltage transformer (8) and a current sensor (9). The microprocessor controls a power module (10) which may be bypassed using a by-pass switch (11). The unit can be programmed for user requirements including automatic day/evening/night settings, voltage stabiliser, maximum economy, and constant luminosity.
