Abstract
The use of 5-phenyl-8-nitro-2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-1H-3-benzazepine derivatives of formula (I) or their salts is claimed for the manufacture of a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment or prevention of sleep disorders and/or sleep disturbances. R3 = H, 1-4C alkyl or 3-7C cycloalkyl; R4 = H; R7 = OH or 1-4C alkoxy; R10 - R12 = H, CF3, halogen or 1-4C alkyl; or R4 + R10 = -CH2CH2-, -CH=CH-, -O-CH2- or -S-CH2, the last two being linked by the heteroatom to the benzene ring; or R10+R11 or R11+R12 = -OCH2CH2-, -OCH2CH2CH2-, -OCH=CH-, -CH2CH2CH2-, -CH2CH=CH- or -CH2CH2CH2CH2-; R13 = halogen or 1-4C alkyl. A corresponding treatment/prevention method is also claimed.
