Abstract

The convertible chair bed has a pull-out seat cushion (4) forming the middle part of the bed surface and adjoined by an additional cushion (6) which is mounted on a pull-out carriage. Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a convertible bed with a seat cushion which can be pulled out of the furniture frame, which is a central part of the reclining position in the reclining position of the furniture.

Convertible seating furniture must meet a variety of conditions in order to optimize the comfort of the bed. Thus, it would be advantageous to classify the heavily cushioned walker cushion between the seated back cushion and an additional pivotable leg as it enhances seat comfort when converting the furniture into a reclining position. It is an object and object of the present invention to provide a bed convertible type of the type described in the introduction without the disadvantages of such known furniture being known.

According to the present invention, both the seat cushion and the auxiliary cushion are pivotally mounted on at least two arms, whereby the cushion arms are arranged on the furniture frame and the arms of the auxiliary cushion are arranged on the carriage.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the end of the seat cushion opposite to the arms of the seat cushion can be folded together in a reclined position to achieve a safe lying position.

Simple locking means that the arms are hinged on the support cushion for the seat cushion on the accessory cushion, and the support and the cushion are provided with at least one pin or a cooperating bore.

In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the tilting range of the seat cushion arms is delimited by stops for the purpose of clearly securing the seat cushion in the sitting and lying position.

The invention will now be described in more detail with reference to exemplary embodiments thereof, with reference to the accompanying drawings, without limiting the scope of protection to these embodiments. Of the illustrations, which are sketchy side views with the side cover removed,

1-4 and 7 show a seating frame (1) on which can be pulled out a carriage consisting of two telescopically connected parts (2 and 3). The furniture also has (4) a cushion, (5) a cushion and (6) an additional pillow. This auxiliary cushion (6) is placed in the seat of the furniture in the front part (3) of the car and connected to it by means of the tilting arms (7).

The seat cushion (4) is also pivotally mounted on the arms (8) and rests in a seated position on the front panel (11). The tilting shafts of the arms (8), disposed opposite to the seat cushion (4), are arranged in the furniture frame (1). The tilting movement of the arms (8) in the seating position of the furniture is limited by the stops (9) which are arranged to provide an inclination corresponding to the seat cushion (4).

The stops (10) limit the tilting movement of the arms (8) towards the other side and provide a horizontal position of the seat cushion (4) when lying down. On the side opposite to the arms (8), the seat cushion (4) rests in a lying position on a support (12) which is connected to the auxiliary cushion (6) and to which the arms (7) are hinged. To fasten the seat cushion (4) to the auxiliary cushion (6), the support (12) is provided with pins (13) which cooperate with the holes (13 ').

The auxiliary number (6) rests on the front face (11) when the furniture is lying down.

To support the back cushion (5), a strip of fabric (14) is applied which is secured on both the carriage (2) and on the furniture frame (1).

When converting the furniture from the seating position shown in Fig. 1 to the lying position as shown in Fig. 4, the backrest (5) is first removed, then the seatrest (4) is lifted and the part (2 and 3) of the carriage is pulled out. see figure).
