Abstract

U telekomunikacijskim mrežama u kojima stanice dijele zajednički medij za prijenos podataka, za proces razrješenja nadmetanja, PRN, koristi se unaprijeđeno povećanje prioriteta koje se temelji na ograničavanju povećanja prioriteta, OPP. OPP mehanizam ima dvije izvedbe, statički i dinamički OPP. Statički OPP je jednostavniji i robusniji. Bazira se na definiranju maksimalnog broja ograničenja povećanja prioriteta svim prioritetima ili samo određenom skupu (SP), koji se ne mijenja tijekom rada mreže. Dinamički OPP ograničava povećanje prioriteta na temelju stanja u mreži, konkretno, na temelju broja kolizija ili procjeni mrežnog opterećenja. Ovakav postupak može postići bolju propusnost, međutim, zahtjeva veći broj računskih operacija ili dodatno organizacijsko opterećenje da bi se procjena stanja mreže mogla kvalitetno izvesti.
