Abstract

The catalyst system comprises: (a) a solid based on complexed titanium trichloride, (b) an organometallic compound of metals of groups IA, IIA, IIB and IIIB of the Periodic Table, and in addition (c) an organic silicon oxygen compound. The process carried out in the presence of this catalyst system enables propylene to be polymerised with an improved catalyst activity.
