Abstract

The invention relates to a correction of signals of a pulse generator which generates signals due to rotation of the head drum and is not mechanically adjusted. Signal timing deviations compared with the values prescribed in the respective standard are compensated by correction signals from a generator in a service adjustment. The correction signals are stored in a non-volatile memory and are added as timing correction to the signals supplied by the pulse generator after the adjustment has been completed.
