Abstract

The invention relates to a sling type baby carrier (3) comprising a sheet (4), at least one strap (5, 6) extending from the sheet (4), and a buckle (7) for closing the sling (3). A safety element (8) extends parallel to the buckle (7) and is connected to the sling (3) on both sides of the buckle (7 by first and second connections. At least one of the connections comprises a loop (9) extending about the at least one strap (6).
