Abstract

The device has an image source whose image is collimated by an optical relay (22) and an eye-piece (24) towards an eye of an observer. The relay is provided with a semi-reflecting plate (23). A retractable protection cover (26) is arranged in the front of the plate. A mechanical body (27) has a mechanical coupling unit intended to fix another monocular display device on the device. An independent claim is also included for a helmet having a gripping mechanical support to fix a binocular display device including two monocular display devices.
