Abstract

A system for wireless transmission of multiple data points using digital timer circuits between a base station and an array of subscriber stations. These subscriber stations may be fixed or mobile. The number of timer circuits is determined by the transmission quality of the locations. The base station is interfaced with external data network, which can be analogue and/or digital. The data points are selected from a suggested group of points for voice, fax, video, computer and instrument data. The degree of tonal decay of the points and the power used in the system are adjusted, based on detection of system location error. The system is equipped with spatial diversity using multiple antennae selectively displaced to provide relatively high point reception, despite location attenuation. The base station functions on multiple RF coupled channels. Every channel couple function operates by combination of a channel transmission circuit for data processing from a given large number of data points received simultaneously through trunk lines for synchronous transmission to different subscriber stations over a given RF channel and a channel circuit receiver for processing multiple points received simultaneously over a given RF channel from different subscriber stations providing data points for transmission over the main lines.
