Abstract

The screw-cap closure is of two-part construction and consists of a threaded ring accommodating the thread and a plate-shaped lid part accommodating the sealing ring. The lid part is arranged, relative to the threaded ring, with positive fit, with axial spacing above the region of the thread and the threaded ring consists of a deformable plastic and the lid part consists of metal sheet. In order to develop the screw-cap closure in such a way that good sealing is achievable after filling and also after opening when the container is closed again, provision is made for the lid part (20) to have an outer, downwardly bent and shaped ring part (21) with a counter-form (12) for accommodation in a positive-fitting counter-piece (60) in the threaded ring (10) (Figure 1). <IMAGE>
