Abstract
Σκοπός του προτεινόμενου συστήματος είναι να αποτελέσει μια ολοκληρωμένη και αξιόπιστη λύση, αναφορικά με την ακριβή πλοήγηση αυτόνομων μηχανών σε κλειστούς χώρους και εν γένη σε οποιοδήποτε δομημένο περιβάλλον. Η πρόταση βασίζεται στην αξιοποίηση 2Δ προκαθορισμένων σημάτων, π.χ. barcodes, QR codes, εικόνες κτλ., που είναι μοναδικά και αποτελούν δείκτες για την εκτέλεση μιας αλληλουχίας ενεργειών άμα τη αναγνωρισή τους. Το σύστημα λειτουργεί σε μια κεντρικοποιημένη λογική server-thin client, όπου κάθε αυτόνομη μηχανή είναι ένας thin client που επικοινωνεί με τον server κάθε φορά που εντοπίζει ένα από τα προαναφερθέντα 2Δ σήματα για να λάβει εντολές σχετικά με τις επόμενες κινήσεις του. Παράδειγμα χρήσης αυτού του συστήματος μπορεί να είναι η αυτοματοποιημένη διαμομή αλληλογραφίας σε ένα κτήριο ή η αυτοματοποιημένη διανομή φαρμάκων σε ένα νοσοκομείο.
