Abstract
Novelty: a device meant for the sterilization of glass bottles and plugs thereof is disclosed. Constitution: a box 1 having its front face open up, a UVC lamp 2 being located at the rear side of said box and enclosed by a stainless screen 3, two seating bases (7,8) with openings 9 the quantity and size of which depend on the vertically-positioned bottles to be supported by said bases, and little doors and hinges 10 set at said openings for deterring the operator’s contact with radiation. The device in question is characterised in that the bottle’s plug openings (4,5) are interconnected via a transfer accessory of inclined structure 6 conducting the bottle’s plugs from the entry opening 4 to the exit opening 5 for being exposed to radiation and thereby sterilized. Purpose: small-scale utilisation (particularly in eating houses) for sterilization of bottles and plugs thereof before being filled anew with mains water, with no exposure of the operator to radiation.
