Abstract
A permanent-magnet electric machine with adjustable activation field, which comprises a rotor consisting of two coaxial core parts (7), (20), wherein each has internally permanent magnets (19), (21), which may change their relative angle from 0 degree to 90 degrees so that the flux of the inner magnets (19) is superimposed on or subtracted from the flux of the outer magnets (21), with intermediate steps, so that the activation field is adjusted. The rotor has co-axially magnetic tensors (figure 3), wherein their one end is supported on the outer core (7) and the other one, via a key, on the shaft (6). The inner angle of the tensors has been selected so that it preloads the alignment torque of the two cores (7) and (20), so that when the machine is under a zero load a minimum activation field is achieved. The outer core (7) slides in respect to the shaft (6), as the torque is increased, resulting to a gradual increase in the activation field, without requiring a control system.
