Abstract

The support system of screw conveyor of dust transportation refers to a new screw conveyor support system with significant advantages. The positioning of the two lateral pulleys for the support of the central screw that is the driving screw, allows full alignment and its proper operation on adverse conditions of dust where it is found. Furthermore, the frequent lubrictaion of the pedestals that are found in the dust is avoided that has significant wears on the system. The connector of each pulley consists of the pulley (3) that is incorporated in the central axis (2) and it is based on the two lateral pulleys (4) on both sides of the tube (1). For this support of the pulley (3) two openings are created in the that are sealed appropriately in order to avoid dust spreading from the tub of the screw conveyor. The two lateral pulleys (4) are found in two respective split caps, from which the height of the pulley (3) is set, depending on the wear caused from its rotation on the two lateralpulleys. This arrangement is achieved by the addition of gaskets under the bases of their pedestals.
