Abstract

Powders and thin films of nano-structured TiO2, active to visible light, are prepared with a chemical method. The modifiers N, F, S and Se are added to the precursors' system at room temperature. The addition of the microadditives in the system can also take place in the gas phase at different temperatures. The prepared powders and thin films of TiO2 with nano-particles of various shapes and sizes are active to visible light and have a strong photocatalytic and antibacterial action.
