ιάταξις ζεύξεως προς μεταβίβασιν επιλεγομένων χαρακτηριστικών σημάτων εις μίαν υπό τούτων ή ενός τμήματος τούτων καθοριζομένην κατευθύνσιν, διακρινομένη εκ τούτου, ότι το μέλος (σημειωτής σημάτων), το οποίον δέχεται τα προς καθορισμόν της κατευθύνσεως απαιτούμενα διακριτικά σήματα, έχει τον διπλούνσκοπόν, αφ' ενός να μεταδώση την καθορισθείσαν διεύθυνσιν εις εν μέλος ελευθέρας επιλογικής λειτουργίας (επιλγέα), αφ' ετέρου δε τα ληφθέντα διακριτικά σήματα, ή εν τμήμα τούτων, να μεταβιβάση περαιτέρω προς την κατεύθυνσιν τούτην, ενώ τα ακολουθούντα διακριτικά σήματα αποταμιεύονται υπό μελών (επαναληπτών) υπαγομένων εις τας εξερχομένας γραμμάς, άτινα μέλη ακολούθως τα εν λόγω αποταμιευθέντα διακριτικά σήματα μεταβιβάζουν εν συνεχεία περαιτέρωυπέρ τας γραμμάς προς τα υπό του σημειωτού σημάτων μεταβιβασθέντα διακριτικά σήματα.
