Abstract
The invention relates to a ground positioned vertical fan destined to protect fields and crops from freezing, and control or remove odors and dust from their area. According to one mentioned operating mode (12,15,16), in the case of anti-freeze protection, the impeller (1) moves and an upward air flow is created. Air is entering through the sloping side covers (6) and expelled through the top covers (5). Thus, the cold air is absorbed from the range area and the warm air descends downwards so that a temperature increase of 2-4 degrees Celsius is obtained. Advantages: low purchase, installation and operation cost ; ability to move; use on flat and sloping ground; environmentally friendly small footprint due to low power requirements.
