Abstract

The invention relates to composite profiles (10) practicable for frame or sheet for windows, doors or other partitions. A composite profile has two longitudinal profiles arranged along a longitudinal direction and connected by an insulation profile. The connection of the outer and inner profile (11,16) with the insulation profile (13) is shaped so that the resistance to the relative linear motion of the outer profile (11) and the insulation profile (13) differs from the resistance to the relative linear motion of the inner profile (16) and the insulation profile (13) while the outer profile (11) remains capable of performing a linear motion in the longitudinal direction relative to the insulation profile (13). The insulation profile (13) has one side opposite the outer profile (11) with two inserts (32, 33) along its edges. Each insert (32, 33) is inserted into a corresponding channel of the external profile (11). Each channel has a side wall with one end; the side of the insulation profile (13) is closer to the outer profile (11) than the end of the side wall. The outer profile (11) is free to exhibit thermal axial deformation without bending while ensuring a stable structure.
