Abstract

In our country there are many low-velocity energetically unexploited rivers which are burdened with organic, colloidal, microbial load, etc. The invented method relates to the utilization of the energy of these rivers and to their quality improvement in relation to the environment as well. A hydraulic ram takes the water from the river and sends it, to a collection tank set at a high altitude. The water from the tank is directed, through a pipeline, to the hydro-electric generating unit and then returns, after being oxidized at the output of this hydro-electric generating unit, to the river’s bed. The energy produced is related to the altitude difference - level between tank and hydro-electric generating unit and the oxygenation to the water dripping of the hydro-electric unit.
