Abstract

Novelty: a multi-point locking device practicable for domestic rolling shutters is disclosed. Constitution: the guide 5, the fixing bases 1, the locking bases 2 at each guide, the pins 3 at each base , the screw 4 serving for a second shaft, the spring 7 at the bottom of the guide, the wire rope 6 transmitting the motion to the locking controller 10 found inside the cup-housing of the shaft, the striking plate (a circular rotating base having a recess housing the end of the locking controller) 8, and two bases of the wire rope meant to transmit the motion under angle. Operational mode: when the canopy reaches the bottom of the rolling shutter, the released locking controller actuates via its projecting end the striking plate and pulls the wire ropes which set, in turn, into rotation the fixing bases of the rectilinearly moving pins meant to lock up the canopy of the rolling shutter. Unlocking is carried out via springs able to backwardly pull the wire ropes when the locking controller enters the cup-housing of the shaft. Advantage: no human intervention for the locking and unlocking of the rolling shutters is required.

Home roll multi-point lock

The invention relates to the multi-point lock of the household roll consisting of the support bases with the lock bases on each guide, the pins on each base, a spring at the bottom of each guide, a wire rope for the drive, the master inside its cup axis, the counter of the principal and finally two wire rope bases for the transmission of motion at an angle.

Locks of this type are not known.

By using this lock, you are given the possibility to operate the domestic roller by means of a remote control or with a wall switch without having to lock and unlock the roller manually

The multi-point lock for a household roll according to the present invention has the characteristic that it locks in multiple points on each side of the roll, but at the same time the entire locking-unlocking process is done by the movement of the motor and not by human intervention.

The numbers (11 to 15) are parts [materials] to which the invention is adapted, they are widely circulated in the market and their numbering will help to understand the field to which the invention refers.

With the support bases (1) [see Figure 2] the locking bases ( 2 ) are assembled [ see Figure 2] that make a small rotation along their axis ( 2 a ) [ see Figure 2] and assembling the pin ( 3 ) [ see Figure 2 ] with a screw ( 4 ) [ see Figure 2 ], which in turn plays the role of the second axis in the special roller guide ( 5 ) [see Figure 1], the straight movement of the spindle (3) is achieved.

The result of this movement is the locking - unlocking of the roll.

The wire ropes ( 6 ) [ see Figure 2] simultaneously transfer the movement from the guides ( 5 ) to the upper part of the roll, in the box ( 11 )

[ see Figure 2] , which wires ( 6 ) are always stretched and generate the command to unlock thanks to the springs ( 7 ) [ see Figure 2] at the bottom of the driver ( 5 ) .

It should be noted that the locking mounts ( 2 ) have a fixed point ( a ) [see Figure 2] on the wire rope ( 6 ), the wire rope ( 6 ) moves and the locking bases ( 2 ) follow.

The two wire ropes (6) in turn, entering the upper part of the roll, in the box (11) [see Figure 2] the one, the one on the opposite side from the motor (12) [see Figure 3 ] , joins directly to the inverse of the principal ( 8 ) [see Figure 2] the other one which is on the side of the motor (12) passes through the base of the wire rope (9b) [see Figure 3 ] performing in the first one a 360° course to head towards the other wire rope base ( 9 a ) [ see Figure 3 ] which also there in turn performs a course of 90° upwards, to end up at the counter of the principal ( 8 ) [see Figure 2 - 3 ] .

The principal's response ( 8 ) [see Figure 2] .is a circular base that rotates about the axis of ( 8 a ) [see Figure 2] with a point missing from the circle and making the slot ( 8 b ) [see Figure 2] for the tip of the principal ( 10 ) [cf. Figure 2] .The wire ropes ( 6 ) are tied semicircularly on the counter of the principal ( 8 ) [ see Figure 2].

The most important point of this invention and the principle of the logic of the mechanism is the principal (10) [see Figure 3] The principal (10) gives the basic command [lock] and at the right time.

The biggest problem this invention encountered is how the rest of the mechanism would recognize the right time to give the [lock] command, since the roll axis makes more than one revolution.

Overcome problem

The principal ( 10 ) is a base with two springs ( 10 d - 10 e ) [see Figure 3] , a pivot point ( 10 c ) [ cf. Figure 3] , the pressure point at the back ( 10 b ) [ see Figure 3] and the exit point ( 10 a ) [ see Figure 3] in the front part which is placed inside the shaft cup (13 )[ see Figure 3]

The mat of the roll ( 14 ) [ see Figure 2] is tied on the shaft and wrapped, even a part of it, throughout the movement of the mat (14).

Except for one particular moment. At the moment when the mat (14) of the roll is completely finished - unwound from the shaft .[ see Figure 2]

The principal (10) is located throughout the movement of the axis (15) [see Figure 3], pressed by the mat (14) of the roll, which is wrapped on the shaft (15), at the pressure point of the principal (10b)

Something that, during the entire movement, the exit point of the controller (10a) is inside the cup (13) and does not activate anything, [it is inactive] At the only moment when the mat (14) of the roll is finished, [completely unwound from the axis (15), i.e. the entire surface of the window has been called, it is the right moment for the mechanism to lock.

The actuator (10) is released, the exit point of the actuator (10a) now protrudes, activates the backlash of the actuator (8), pulls the wire ropes (6), the wire ropes (6) rotate the pin support brackets (2), the pins (2) move in a straight line and lock and secure the mat (14) of the roll.

When unlocking, the shaft (15) rotates backwards [that is, it collects the mat (14) of the roll] the controller (10) presses on the pressure point (10b), the exit point of the controller (10a) enters the cup ( 13 ), the feedback of the controller ( 8 ) is deactivated [ i.e. it releases the wire ropes ( 6 )] the wire ropes ( 6 ) which are always stretched by the springs ( 7 ) at the bottom of the guide ( 5 ) [ i.e. something always pulls them, permanently, to move back] they move back and return the locking bases (2) to their original position, which in turn pull the pins (3) back and the roll is unlocked.

It should be noted that the command locked is a moment on the complete rotation of the axis ( 15 ) [ the moment when the output of the command ( 10 a ) finds the counter ( 8 ) ], which means that the mat ( 14 ) of the roll that it gives the command to the pressure point of the controller (10 b) it has a time difference with the rest of the mechanism [almost a full rotation] which is very important because it leaves room for the mechanism to react, [the movement is not instantaneous] and in addition it is easily adjusted in the irregular dimensions of the mat (14) of the roll.

Claims Home roll multi-point lock 1) The multi-point lock of the household roll consists of the special guide (5) with a characteristic floating internal chamber, which creates the appropriate conditions for the mechanism to work. 2) The set of objects: support bases (1), locking bases (2), pins (3), screw (4) create an independent lock on the guides of the roll and is characterized by the possibility of receiving a command perpendicular to it [ up and down] and perform horizontal movement [in-out] or otherwise [lock-unlock]. 3) The set of objects: principal ( 10 ), reflection of the principal ( 8 ), which is also the most important part of the invention, and characterized by the ability to choose from among the number of revolutions of a roll axis the appropriate time to give the command was locked [mechanically]. 4) The set of objects: wire rope (6), wire rope mounts (9a - 9b), spring (7) whose characteristic is not only that they transfer the [lock-unlock] commands from the axis to the guides, they also have the main and permanent command unlocked throughout the movement of the roll mat, except for the unique moment when the principal (10) gives the command locked. 5) The multi-point lock of the household roll works as a set of the above claims, with the exception of claim (2), which has the additional feature of being able to be used in the mechanism, more than once, i.e. as many locks as one defines if the dimensions of the roll guides allow it. From claim (2) comes the name multi-point lock.
