Abstract

Η παρούσα αίτηση περιγράφει σύστημα μονοκατευθυνόμενης υπέρυθρης επικοινωνίας για χειρισμό διαφόρων συσκευών, κατασκευαστών ή παροχών υπηρεσιών τηλεόρασης από απόσταση. Το σύστημα χρησιμοποιεί συγκεκριμένο πρωτόκολλο για την επικοινωνία με τις συσκευές και επιτρέπει διάφορους τρόπους χρήσης της συσκευής χειριστή. Η δομή για το μορφότυπο μηνύματος πρωτοκόλλου περιλαμβάνει πεδίο έναρξης μηνύματος (6), πεδίο δεδομένων (7) και πεδίο περάτωσης μηνύματος (8). Τα δεδομένα που αφορούν τα μηνύματα, που προβλέπεται να μεταδοθούν στις συσκευές, που θα υποστούν χειρισμό περικλείονται καταλλήλως εντός του πεδίου δεδομένων (7) του μηνύματος, με το μορφότυπο του συγκεκριμένου πεδίου να ποικίλει ανάλογα με τη μέθοδο χρήσης της συσκευής-χειριστή.
