Abstract

Novelty: a pulse olive-harvesting rod furnished with oscillating sticks and an additional ring with sticks is disclosed. Constitution: a pole (1), motion transmission shafts (2,3), an angular transmitter (4), a horizontal shaft (5) having eccentrics (10) at its ends, dividable two-hemisphere balls (6) with sticks and a ring (7) furnished with peripheral sticks all placed on the eccentrics (10) of the horizontal rotary shaft (5), which balls (6) does not rotate but oscillates so as to impede the brutal olive fruit ejection from branches and prevent the entanglement of the sticks therewith. The ring (7) is set between the ball's hemispheres for strengthening the oscillation, retaining the branch and enhancing, thus, the olive fruit harvesting by covering possible voids in the space where the rod is oscillating; when very thick foliage makes the insertion of the rod in the interior of the branch difficult, said ring can be detached without affecting the operation of the rod and the whole length thereof.
